SSH Self-Drive is part of the South Staffs Hire group of companies based in Telford, Shropshire.
South-Staffs Hire Group was founded by co - owners Darrell Miller and Paul Graham in June 2005. Darrell and Paul have worked in the vehicle rental business for several national companies and have a combined rental experience of over 32 years. Both Paul and Darrell are based at the Telford office.
South Staffs Hire Ltd was established in September 2005, initially operating as a Thrifty Car Rental franchisee trading in the Telford area. Starting with a fleet of just 27 vehicles, we rapidly expanded to over 100 vehicles within the first 12 months, increasing to over 200 vehicles currently. The following years have proven extremely successful for both business development and general business growth, recruiting key members of staff, skilled in specific areas to deal with our increasing customer base.
In 2010, due to further expansion plans, South Staffs Hire Ltd agreed an amicable departure from the Thrifty franchise system. This enabled us to trade without restraint and concentrate our efforts at what we do best, providing an exceptional Car, Van & Minibus rental service to the general public and local businesses.
We have established ourselves as market leaders in the vehicle hire sector throughout Shropshire and the surrounding counties. Our mission statement of “Giving You Outstandingly Good Service” represents our ethos and is a statement that we believe to be sacrosanct.

In May 2012 SSH Selfdrive became the franchisee for Hertz in Telford, Shrewsbury & Stafford North,The franchise provides the unique and valuable opportunity for SSH Self-drive to expand alongside a multi-national company, learning from their experiences and the well-reputed service that they offer.
